Using Self Adhesive, Printable Kraft on a Scrapbook Layout

Hello, Karen here with a quick blog post about how utterly gorgeous the Silhouette Printable Adhesive Kraft is.

The thing I particularly like about this and the other adhesive mediums that Silhouette make is that you can cut very intricate designs and not worry about how you are going to stick them down without having any glue showing.

I wanted muted elements for my page so chose print and cut designs that had a 'watercolour' look about them.

I also wanted a piece of 'lace' to run the width of my page and as the kraft paper is letter size had to make a piece 12 ins long by placing it diagonally on the page. I mirrored the lace and had to duplicate  and weld it to get the size and shape I wanted.

The doily was solid and so I used the Trace function to add cut lines to the larger spaces and then offset these to cut out part of the doily.

I found that to ensure that my Silhouette could scan and recognise the registration marks I had to place a white label onto the kraft card, where the marks were to be printed, before printing each page.

Finally I used my Silhouette software to 'lay out' my scrapbook page and to decide where I wanted to jurnal and add a border.
