Welding Shapes and Fonts

Hey there, Niki here with you today to show you how to create a custom background using a repeating shape and a font.

I chose to work with a file called 'heart cluster'. I added this shape to my screen and multiplied it a few times and in a variety of different sizes. I welded it all together so it formed one shape.

I then wrote the word 'love' in Sailaway' font and welded that together.

I then resized my 'love' word and placed it inside a heart. I repeated this several times to fit within several different sized hearts.

and then I welded the whole lot together and cut it out.

I used soft tones to make this layout. I backed the heart background with patterned papers and then raised the whole thing up on foam pads to give it some dimension.
