Hi, Bev here with a tutorial on how to create these simple but very effective personalised drinks bottles.
What you will need:
Water bottles (the ones above were from a high street home bargain shop, a steal at 99p each)
Silhouette Tool Kit
Open up a new page in your Silhouette Studio program and create the text you will use for your bottle.
You can measure around the bottle to give you an idea of the size you will need your vinyl to be.
Depending on how many different vinyl colours you are using, you can position your text on the screen so that they can be cut at the same time.
I opened up another page for the extra vinyl decals and used some designs from the Silhouette store to create stars and crowns for my bottles.
You can then ungroup the design and delete the ones you won't be using. Use the replicate tool to make as many as you would like for your project. I also repeated this with the crown shape.
Set up the vinyl on your mat and load into your machine. Ensure that your cut settings are appropriate for your project. Use a test cut if in doubt.
Once cut, peel the excess vinyl off of the backing sheet and weed the design.
Gather all of your cut pieces together and you will have something like this.
Use your transfer tape to remove the vinyl from the backing sheet and position on to your bottle. You should use a scraper tool to smooth out any air bubbles and again once on the bottle.
Repeat with the other bottles if needed and you will end up with something that looks like this.
You can then repeat the steps above for adding the other decals, however I chose to individually place the stars and crowns by lifting them with a pick me up tool and sealing them down with the scraper tool.
And there is your finished project! Personally I wouldn't recommend using the dishwasher for these, but hand washing they hold up great!
I have loved sharing this tutorial with you and look forward to seeing your own vinyl water bottles.
