Hello, Nadine here with a tutorial for monthly milestone stickers which are a great photo prop to record a baby's growth. I made all these designs with just three files from the Silhouette Design Store: the Yellow Daisy font, a leafy wreath set and a set of flowers and leaves. I'm excited to share with you my favourite top tip available on the Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition to speedily transfer the properties from one shape to the next.
Step One: Pick a Colour Palette
Pick your own colour palette, or find inspiration from Pinterest or a colour scheme generator website. Here is my colour palette:Step Two: Registration Marks
My stickers are 9cm circles, so I could fit 4 onto an A4 / letter size paper. Turn on registration marks, reducing the length and inset slightly as shown in the screenshot below:Step Three: Add wreaths
I resized all the wreaths to 8.4cm wide, ensuring the lock ratio button was ticked and then centred within the stickers. Chose just one of the designs, or use all four as I did.Step Four: Add text
I used the Yellow Daisy font from the Silhouette Design Store, sized to 60pt.Top tip
See the font designer Rivka's blog post about using Special Characters for Yellow Daisy font in Silhouette Studio®.
Step Five: Arrange flowers and leaves
Let your creativity run wild here - there are countless ways for you to arrange the flowers, branches and leaves to make pretty flourishes. Make new flower designs by layering up different flowers, for example, the chrysanthemum style flower looks great when centred inside the other flowers as a stamen. If you have Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition, you can also play with the sketch pen options.Step Six: Print and Cut
Ensure that all shapes are set to 'No Cut' except for the outside circles. Send to the printer - if using the Silhouette Sticker Paper, make sure all your settings are using Letter size which is slightly different from A4.TOP TIP: Quickly transfer properties
My project was made super fast because I could avail of the transfer properties tool exclusive to the Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition, Designer Edition Plus and Business Editions.
I created 7 rectangles, one for each colour from my palette and set my line colour, weight, print and cut settings. I could then transfer all these properties in just one click to any shape I wanted. Simply select your shape and click the rectangle you want to transfer the properties from whilst holding down the cntl key. There is also a button on the bottom toolbar - here's a demo:

Well I didn't know that about the properties Nadine! What a time saver. Thanks for another great tutorial. This will appeal to the planner brigade I am sure!
