Sunday's with Steph - Halloween Wedding scrapbooking layout

Hello crafters and welcome to this weeks blog post!

So I was asked by a friend to create something special for her friends up and coming wedding on Halloween.   This was a very different design brief to what I usually have and way out of my comfort zone but I thought I'd give it my best shot and I'm rather pleased with the end result!!

So I started off with this design https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/156688 and cut it out on my favourite paper bazzill basics, but in black this time!  I was also asked to write the new Mr & Mrs names, wedding date and til death do us part on the layout so I treated myself to a new font also https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/94555

I placed the cut file on a piece of textured paper that I had cut down to 10 x 10 and distressed the edges and put the font all the way round the design which fitted perfectly.  I cut roughly about 90 centimetres of netting about an inch wide and stuck it round my piece of card (with about half an inch showing) then placed it on some green rose print gutted paper.  I double boarded the photo, white then black and placed it in the bottom right hand corner.  I hand stamped a few roses which I then fussy cut and tucked round the photo and raised them a bit with foam pads.  I then added sequins in the wedding colours to finish of the design.

If it's your thing or not I hope you can appreciate the detail in the cutfile and the letting due to the Silhouette's superb cutting ability.  I myself am really happy with the finished design and having to be pushed right out of my comfort zones with this one.  I truly hope that they live happily ever after.

See you next week!

Take care,

Steph x x
