Hello crafters and welcome to this weeks blog post!
I've just spent a lovely weekend away with like minded people at a scrapbooking retreat in Hertfordshire...it was glorious! We were set a series of challenges and one of my favourite challenges was the pick five challenge...If you want to play along the items you can choose from are as follows:
* More than one photo on a layout
* A globe
* Numbers in the title
* Paint splatters
* Stitching
* Three patterned papers
* An arrow
* Stamping
* Washi Tape
* Doily
I used the items in bold and how I started my page was down loading and cutting out this lovely globe but the uber talented Paige Taylor Evans https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/designs?search=paige+taylor+evans+globe&sortby=relevance&submitted_search=true I cut it out on Bazzill Coconut Swirl paper on the normal settings (Cardstock Heavy and passing through twice) Whilst the design was still on the cutting mat I pasted it over with some lovely paste from Shimmers Dazzler collection in the following colours: Sea U in the Mornin', Barely Blue and Foiled Again. These products are delicious and once dry leave a soft shimmery texture to your page. As soon as I had finished painting I removed the globe from the mat and let it dry separately from the negatives so it wouldn't stick together.
Once dry I used foam risers on the back of the globe and stuck it to a bobble textured piece of paper that I had flicked with some silver paint and machine sewn round the edge with some grey cotton. Once all stuck down I removed the pieces of left over globe from the mat and stuck them down flat onto the page to give the page a bit more dimension.
As my title was quite a long one that took quite a bit of time to position correctly. I then grouped my photo in a frame with a few embellishments added a corner cluster and as the mini title tells me too I had to add a whole sheet of stars!!
Thank you so much for reading my blog post today.
Until next week....
Happy Scrapping.....
